Why would you buy junk cars for sale?

Some people are just natural hoarders. It's a fact of life. Even when something is broken down and no longer useful at all, they would prefer to hold onto it rather than throw out something that some day they might figure out how to fix. When you start looking at junk cars for sale, these are the sorts of people you are going to come across. For some people junk cars accumulate around their section or in paddocks. They are usually wrecks, or at least rarely functional. But with new car prices what they are, the collector considers that some day they will be able to do something with it.
In the best case scenario the car becomes a project, and the owner spends hours in the yard tinkering. In the worst case scenario the junk cars just sit there - waiting for the arrival of 'some day'. Eventually, often after extensive nagging from the wife, the owner will put their project cars for sale, though usually half heatedly. Generally when someone who has hoarded old race cars and other pre owned cars for a long time, when they do finally take the step of selling them, they are often just looking for someone to take them off their hands.
This is the point you have to ask if you are genuine about seeking out project cars for sale, or if you are going to accumulate pre owned cars in the same manner that the previous owner did. Anything that is for sale by private owner should be checked out to find the motive. Maybe the owner got a good deal on some Audi cars and is upgrading, but more likely they are off loading a car with something wrong with it. When you buy junk cars you start with the advantage of knowing that there is things wrong with the cars. Buying junk cars for sale by private owners is really just a case of knowing your motive, and working out if the auto prices are reasonable for what you are getting.
If you are buying with the intention of repairing the cars and selling them on, then you need to factor in not only price being asked for the project cars for sale, but also the expected costs of the parts and time you will need to put in on the junk cars. On the other hand, if you are a person who loves to tinker with cars, and is happy to never get any of the cheap cars going so long as you can play with them, the parts and labor will not need to be worried about. buying the junk cars will be an investment in a hobby rather than a financial exercise.
Depending on your reasons to buy, the value of the junk cars for sale may fluctuate widely. So ultimately the value assigned to junk cars does not depend on the seller, or even on his reasons for selling, but rather on the value which you attribute to the cars and car parts that you are going to be buying. Therefore when you are investigating junk or damaged cars for sale, first ask yourself what your goal in buying them is, and then work out what they are worth to you.
